Sports Medicine Wheel: Synergy In Motion
Joey Stimler, PT, DPT

Jane Redd, M.A., LMT, HTP has led a varied life in the arts and the healing world. The first segment of her working life was as church organist in the US and Germany. She gravitated to editing while working on her Master’s in Musicology in Germany and later doctoral work at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. While working toward completing her doctoral dissertation in musicology, she took initial training in energy medicine (Healing Touch and Healing Touch for Animals). She spent the next years working full time as a technical editor, alternating between the aviation and legal publishing realms. When the time was right, Jane felt a call to pursue massage therapy at SHI Integrative Medical Massage School, where she was trained in muscle energy techniques, craniosacral, TMJ, tendonitis, and trigger point techniques. Afterwards she resumed Healing Touch training, which she completed during the pandemic in 2021.

Since graduation she has pursued training in craniosacral, neuromuscular, myofascial release therapies, oncology care, lymphatic drainage, dynamic trigger point therapy (Coaching the Body Institute), and kinesiotaping, among others. Prior to Peak Performance, her hands-on experience included working in a chiropractic office, volunteering for Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, and contract massage work for an engineering firm. A history of injuries and awareness of mind-body connections influenced by the workplace and beyond, plus the honing of intuitive listening to the body, have made her highly aware of and attuned to discerning the stresses in the body.

Hobbies include gardening, medicinal plants, talking to critters inside (three cats) and outside the home, poetry, knitting, and getting back onto the freedom of water – kayaking.
